The ATTILA range of software meets the needs of Enforcement Agents, covering all aspects of their work (e,g, warrants, visits, Compliance Fees, Enforcement Fees, repossessions etc.)
Features included in the ATTILA Bailiff System
Magistrates Fixed Fines
Council Revenue (NNDR, Council Tax)
Decriminalised Parking Fines
High Court/Sheriff enforcement
ATTILA can be tailored to any Legal system. It produces the paperwork for each case at the correct intervals. For example:
Notice of Enforcement
Reminder memos for staff
Controlled Goods, Notice of Sale and other legal documents
+ 300 – 400 other different documents
Each document can be customised. Additional ones can be added, or existing ones omitted. Wording and layout of every document is customisable using ATTILA’s report generator.
Actions On A Case
ATTILA performs a series of actions for each case. (E.g. produce a Notice of Enforcement, generate memo to visit.)
ATTILA lets you predefine a range of different action sequences. Each client can then have their own chosen sequence; or ATTILA can select one that is appropriate to the case-type.
If a case deviates from the normal flow, ATTILA can automatically initiate a new action sequence. E.g. if a promised cheque does not arrive by the agreed date, ATTILA can switch to an “Overdue-Payment” sequence. This could send 1 warning-letter, then send a memo to initiate Enforcement.
When the arrears have been cleared, ATTILA will terminate the “Overdue-Payment” sequence, and switch back to the original sequence.
When a visit is due ATTILA holds the action until the visit is complete and the visit notes are entered. Memos are produced however to remind the office that a visit is due.
Other Action Sequences can handle
ATTILA handles all payments. It monitors stage payments. Payments are allocated to fees, and client repayments. Different repayment schemes can be used for each client. (“take-fees-first”, “take-fees-last”, “pay-on-receipt”, “pay-on-completion”, etc.)
When payments have cleared, they are automatically forwarded to the client (less any retained fees).
Fees and Commission
ATTILA calculates the fees owing to the Enforcement Agents, and invoices the Client if and when required. Monies can be held back from that collected from defendants, or all returned to the Client. In the latter case, ATTILA will invoice the Client, then wait for the invoice to be paid.
Each fee is handled separately and according to law. So Compliance fees are taken first, Enforcement and Disposal fees are pro-rata across muliple cases.
For commission, on appropriate debt types ATTILA supports many different charging schemes. E.g. “Bill-on-receipt”, “Bill-on-completion”. The commission can be flat-rate, percentage with up to 7 bands per case, percentage up to a maximum, percentage with a minimum, etc. Other schemes allow individual commission for each action or letter, administration fees etc.
Local taxes (e.g. VAT) are calculated, collected and invoiced where appropriate.
Interface to Legacy Systems
ATTILA’s optional Import module can be customised to accept case, payment or status data from most mainframe or UNIX systems. Having imported a case, ATTILA can then pursue the action until full payment is collected, or the case written off.
ATTILA is used by organisations ranging in size from 1-man businesses, up to Europe’s largest electronics company.
ATTILA can handle millions of active cases, yet is cost-effective for users with only a handful of live cases. The only practical limit on the case-throughput is the size and speed of the computer or server.
ATTILA can run on a cheap PC, or on high-performance server. It supports from 1 to a 1000 users.
ATTILA’s import and export facilities allow for large volumes to be handled with little or no manual intervention.
ATTILA has many housekeeping functions to handle bulk files with add or remove stops, reset cases to different sequences, write off cases from a given list of cases etc.
ATTILA provides the tools to run an efficient Enforcement Agent’s office:
Detailed defendant history (including previous addresses, previous actions and outcomes)
Fast display of payment histories to answer enquiries
Automatic generation/printing of the day’s documents
Import and export facilities
Automatic client invoicing (optional)
Automatic client repayments (optional)
Bulk handling of cases
Optionally ATTILA allows for block allocation of work to Enforcement Agents selecting by stage of collection process, postcode, client, etc. up to a given maximum number of cases.
ATTILA’s sophisticated ‘Pigeonhole system’ allows for micro management of the Enforcement Agents allocation to cases.
